Studio and scenes

A scene is one style, one model and one pose. The style is the setting, such as Studio Grey; the model wears your garment; the pose is how they stand or sit. You choose a scene every time you shoot, and the Studio keeps the ones you use again.

Open Studio in the menu. It has two parts:

  • Scenes: your saved scenes, ready to shoot with.
  • Library: the Styles, Models and Poses your scenes are made from. See all opens the full list of each.

Creating, editing and deleting scenes, pinning models and adding your own need the Admin or Editor role.

  1. In Studio, choose Create a scene. Or choose a style or a pose in the Library to start with that one already picked.
  2. Pick a Style, a Model and a Pose. The Preview and the Scene overview show your choice.
  3. Choose Save.

Saving a scene does not use a credit. If that model has never been made in that style and pose, the pose is marked Generated when you save: the scene shows Generating… in your Studio until it is ready. If it says This scene could not be generated, open its menu and choose Try again.

You do not have to come to the Studio first. When you shoot a product with a new style, model and pose, that combination is saved as a scene for you. See Shoot and review photos.

  • Edit: choose the scene, change its style, model or pose, and choose Save. The new combination takes the old one’s place in your Studio.
  • Delete: open the scene’s menu and choose Delete. It is removed from your Studio. Photos already shot with it are kept.

Pinned models come first on every product, so your catalog reads as one shoot. Choose the pin on a model to pin it, and again to unpin it. The model list says how many you can pin.

To find a model, filter the full list by Body type and Skin tone.

Shoot your garments on a model of your own, from one photo of them.

  1. Open the full list of models (See all models in the Studio, or Browse all models on a product) and choose Add your model.
  2. Upload one clear, front-facing photo of your model: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB.
  3. Give the model a name and tick I have the right to use this photo of this person.
  4. Optionally set Body type, Gender presentation and Skin tone. Leave them blank and your model shows for every filter.
  5. Choose Add your model.

Shootika makes every pose from that photo. In the Studio, a pose your model does not have yet is made when you save the scene, without using a credit. On a product’s page, it shows Generate · 1 credit and uses one credit for each pose.

Your own models are not on every plan. When yours does not include them, the Add your model tile says which plan does. How many each plan allows is on shootika.com/pricing.

On a product’s page, with your own model selected, choose Upload a pose to add a photo of your model in a pose of your own. Give it a Pose name of up to 40 characters, for example “Seated”. An uploaded pose does not use a credit.

Open the model’s menu and choose Delete. This removes the model, its poses and its scenes, including any in your Studio. Photos already shot with it are kept.

You can upload a photo of a setting of your own and use it as a style.

  • In the Studio: under Styles, choose See all styles, then Add your scene. Upload the photo, name the scene, tick I have the right to use this image. and choose Add your scene. It becomes a style you can use in any Studio scene, free of charge.
  • On a product’s page: choose Add your scene in the Style list. Here you also tick the models to put in it, up to 12, and each model uses one credit.

The photo can be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB. If you reach the number of scene photos you can keep, the web app says so; delete one to add another.
