Troubleshooting

Each section quotes the message as Shootika shows it.

In Claude you may first see “couldn’t finish connecting”. That is Claude’s own message. The Shootika page then says Shootika is not installed on this store:

This store removed the Shootika app. Reinstall it from your Shopify admin, then connect again.

The store you are connecting removed the Shootika app from Shopify, so an assistant cannot be connected to it. Removing the app also disconnected every assistant the store had.

Reinstall Shootika from the Shopify App Store, then start the connection again from your assistant.

Connecting AI assistants is switched off for the moment. Try again later, or contact support.

In the Shopify admin the same message reads “Shootika for AI assistants is switched off for the moment. Try again later.”

Shootika has paused AI assistant connections for a while. This stops new connections, and assistants that are already connected get “Shootika for AI assistants is switched off for the moment. Try again later.” Nothing is wrong with your store or your assistant, and you do not need to connect again. Try again later. If it lasts, write to support@shootika.com.

Start the connection again from your AI assistant. If you signed in with a different account, use the account for the store you are connecting.

A connection request lasts 10 minutes and can be used once. You see this when:

  • more than 10 minutes passed since the assistant opened the Shootika page;
  • the request was already used;
  • the request was already tied to another store, for example because a Shopify address was entered for it first. If you signed in with the wrong account, choose Use a different account and sign in with the right one;
  • in the Shopify admin, the request belongs to a different store.

Start the connection again from your assistant. It opens a fresh Shootika page.

This connection link is incomplete. The page was opened without its request. Start again from Connect in your AI assistant.

Verify your email first. Open Shootika, verify your email, then connect again.

That does not look like a Shopify address. Type your store’s myshopify.com address, for example acme-store.myshopify.com.

We could not confirm your account. Shopify could not confirm who you are. Reload the page and try again.

“You have used your plan’s frames. Your plan can bill extra frames, but this connection is not allowed to.” A store admin can allow extra frames for that assistant. See Manage connections. Otherwise wait for your plan to refill.

“This connection was approved by someone who can no longer allow this. Ask a store admin to reconnect.” The person who approved the assistant has a role that no longer allows what the assistant tried. A store admin connects the assistant again from the assistant.

“This connection is not allowed to use tool: it needs the “permission” permission. Connect Shootika again and allow it, or ask a store admin.“ The assistant tried something you did not allow when you approved it, such as start_shoot without the Shoot permission. Disconnect it, then connect it again and tick that permission. See Change what an assistant may do.

Adding products is not available on Shopify stores. A Shopify store’s products and photos come from Shopify. Add them in your Shopify admin.

The assistant asks you to connect again. It was disconnected, or its store removed the Shopify app. Approve it again, or reinstall the app first.
