Review and publish photos

Open a photo from any of these:

  • the product’s All shots list, on its page in Products;
  • Last shots on Home;
  • a notification;
  • Shoots history in Studio, which lists every shoot across all your products, newest first. Its tabs narrow it to Ready, Attached, Failed or In progress.

The review shows the photo large, with the original photo and the scene above it. Zoom in to check the detail.

If it says Our quality check flagged this result, look closely before you attach it.

A Not marketplace-white badge means the background is not pure white. Marketplaces such as Amazon need a pure white background on the main image; the photo is still fine elsewhere.

Choose Attach to product. Shootika adds the photo to the product’s media in Shopify, where shoppers see it on your product page. This is what these docs call approving a frame. Once it is done, the photo shows Attached to product and the date.

If Shopify cannot process the image, the app says so; try again.

Open an attached photo and choose Remove from product. Shootika removes the photo it added from the product in Shopify. The photo stays in your Shoots history and starts to expire again.

  • Download saves the file to your computer, for use anywhere else.
  • Regenerate (1 credit) shoots the same product photo in the same scene again. This is a new shoot and uses a credit.

A photo you do not attach is deleted after a retention window. The review shows how many days are left, and Shoots history shows Expires in on each one. After that it shows Expired; regenerate it to get a new one. The rule is in the privacy policy, under How long we keep it.

An attached photo is kept for as long as it stays attached. Removing the Shootika app does not take attached photos off your products: they live in your Shopify files. See Install the app.
