What an assistant can do

A connected assistant works through Shootika’s tools. Each tool needs one of the four permissions you choose when you connect. Your assistant picks the tools; you ask in plain words.

Always granted. Nothing here changes your store or uses a frame.

Tool What it does
get_account Your store’s name and platform, its Shootika plan, and the frames left this month.
list_products Your products, newest first, 24 per page, with their photos. Can look one up by your store’s own id.
get_product One product and its photos, to pick which photo to shoot.
list_models The AI models a shoot can use, with body type, skin tone and the poses each can take.
list_styles The scene styles: backdrops and looks, plus your store’s own reference scenes.
list_scenes Your scenes (a model in a style and pose), with status and a preview. Shoots need a ready scene.
list_shoots Your frames, newest first, filtered by product, status or approved. The first 4 ready frames come with a small preview and a full-size link.
get_shoot One frame. It waits a few seconds for the frame to finish, then returns a preview and a full-size link when it is ready.

Web app stores only. A Shopify store’s products come from Shopify, so add products and photos there instead.

Tool What it does
add_product Adds a product with a title, optionally its garment category (tops, bottoms or one-pieces), your own id, and up to 10 photos from public image URLs (PNG, JPEG or WebP). The product is created even when a photo cannot be fetched.
add_product_image Adds one photo to a product from a public image URL: PNG, JPEG or WebP, at most 15 MB.
Tool What it does
request_scene Asks for a scene: a model in a style and pose. Free, and safe to repeat. A new scene takes a little while to become ready.
start_shoot Starts a shoot: a product photo, worn by the scene’s model, as one new frame. Each call uses one frame from your plan.

About start_shoot:

  • A repeated call with the same request id within 24 hours returns the first result instead of starting and charging a second shoot.
  • Shooting a frame again is a new shoot and uses a frame.
  • A frame that fails says why, and its frame is refunded.
  • Once your plan’s frames are used up, a shoot goes ahead only if your plan can bill extra frames and extra frames are allowed for that connection. See Manage connections.
Tool What it does
approve_frame Approves a ready frame. On a Shopify store it is published to the live product page, where shoppers see it. On other stores it is saved to the product in Shootika.
remove_frame Takes an approved frame back off its product. On a Shopify store it is removed from the live product page. The frame is kept and can be approved again until it expires.

The tools tell the assistant to ask you before starting shoots you did not ask for, to show you a frame and ask before approving it, and to ask before removing one.

Shootika only adds and removes its own frames. An assistant cannot change your prices or other product details through Shootika, and Shootika has no customer or order data.

The plugin for Claude Code and Codex adds a skill, shoot-products, that takes the assistant through one round: check the frames left, find the products, choose a scene, pick the photo, start the shoots, wait for them, show you the frames and publish only the ones you pick. Other assistants use the same tools without the skill.
