Manage connections

Every assistant you approve is listed with who connected it, what it can do and when it was last used. Disconnecting one stops it at once.

  1. In the web app, open Settings, then the Connected assistants tab.
  2. Each row shows the assistant, who connected it, what it can do, when it was last used, and whether it may use extra frames.

Store admins can:

  • Allow extra frames past your plan with the switch in the Extra frames column, or turn them off again. If the switch is unavailable, the reason is shown under it. Extra frames are billed only on monthly plans paid through Shopify, so on a web app plan the switch has no effect: shoots stop when your credits run out (see Billing).
  • Disconnect an assistant. It loses access to your store immediately.

Other team members see the list but cannot change it.

  1. Open this address, with your store’s name in place of <your-store>:

    https://admin.shopify.com/store/<your-store>/apps/shootika/app/connections

The page is not in the Shootika app’s menu, so open it by its address.

  2. Each assistant shows who connected it and when, when it was last used, and what it can do.

On each one you can:

  • tick or untick Allow extra frames past my plan (billed on monthly Shopify plans). When it cannot be switched on for a connection, the page says so; connect that assistant again to allow extra frames.
  • choose Disconnect, then confirm. It stops working at once.

Removing the Shootika app from your store also disconnects every assistant. Reinstalling the app does not bring them back; connect each one again from the assistant.

Permissions are chosen when you approve. To change them, disconnect the assistant, then connect it again from the assistant and tick the permissions you want. See Connect an assistant.

An assistant with extra frames allowed can keep starting shoots after your plan’s frames are used up, on a plan that bills extra frames. Without it, a shoot past your plan is refused with: “You have used your plan’s frames. Your plan can bill extra frames, but this connection is not allowed to.” Which plans bill extra frames is on shootika.com/pricing.
